Application for Scholarship Fund for post secondary education/vocational opportunities.

     The Christian Education Committee of the First Presbyterian Church oversees a scholarship fund for post secondary education/vocational opportunities.  The fund is supported by endowment gifts that have been made by members and friends of the church.  Grants are primarily made to persons who are members of the church or affiliated in some program of the church.

          Awards will be granted based on the following criteria: (1) financial need, (2) educational goals and (3) scholastic achievement.

     Financial aid will always be in the form of grants.  There is no contractual obligation for recipients to “pay back” the grant, but all gifts to the Scholarship Endowment Fund are welcome and help First Presbyterian Church continue this important ministry.

     Recipients may be of any age, race or nationality and may be receiving support for college, vocation education or postgraduate degrees. 

    Please return the application materials by March 31, 2008.
