Letter from Pastor John Welton

Dear Members and Friends,

This week is the Triumphal entry into Jerusalem.  Commonly known as Palm Sunday, we welcome Jesus as he and the disciples finally arrive in Jerusalem.  We will see miracles small and large.  We will also stand aghast as Jesus’s first act is to cleanse the Temple, turning over tables and expelling the money changers. Once the stage is cleared Jesus will heal the blind and deaf as he did in the Galilee. We will hear the cheers of the crowd, the disgust of the elite, and the shouts of joy from the healed.  Those cheers will turn to jeers this week, until we are left with the weeping of the women who watched Jesus crucified.  Join us on this emotional roller coaster of a week.
